C. Wonder Holiday Windows

After 2 months of hard work I finally got to see my holiday window design in person! Amazing to see the deer, the skis, the bright pink walls, and stacks of presents I have seen on my computer screen for so long! It was so fun and wonderful I almost cried! I love working hard, but especially I love seeing the results! The best part of working for C. Wonder, besides the wonderful people, is that it screams ME! This brand is everything I love: a ridiculous amount of color and patterns all at the same time! I can’t wait to return to New York after graduation and hopefully design more windows!

Cheri’s First Birthday

My niece Cheri turned 1! Since her name is pronounced like the fruit we had to include cherries on her cake! As the craft queen of the family I decorated her cake with help from my sisters!

Love Can Go the Distance Bridal Shower

After their first date Craig moved to Arizona and continued to date our dear friend Marcie. Almost their entire courtship was long distance. To celebrate their love we felt it was necessary to include their amazing story. The invitations were airplane tickets and gourmet travel snacks were served.

For a bridal shower game I designed cards with pictures and answers from the groom-to-be. Craig and Marcie’s answers were word for word! We all can see the sparks that “fly” between this beautiful couple!

Intramural Flag Football

The refs say this is not tackle football, but we all know the truth. I may not have lived up to my running glory days, but I did return a punt for a touchdown this season! This may have been the highlight of my flag football career, but in a close 2nd was seeing all of our wonderful fans cheer us on.

Also, I have an excuse for my half-hearted smile in these group photos. During a defensive play, I was concentrating so closely on my opponent’s flag that I didn’t see when she ran her body right into my face. My bottom lip turned blue after the game. You can bet I was proud of my battle wound.

Toast to Ashley’s 22nd Birthday!

My dear sister, Ashley turned twenty-two ooh, ooh. So it felt like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight . We made some French toast and gave some sparkling cider toasts to our favorite DJ, most thoughtful friend, and funniest girl we know!

Of course, there was a DIY photobooth to match the “toast” theme! I kept it simple with gold ornaments hung from the ceiling to resemble the appearance of champagne bubbles and her name was cut out from gold glitter paper! Ta-da! Put your glasses in the air for a successful surprise party and wonderful friends!

Las Vegas Hike

The bright colors of the outfits of my friends and I contrasted against the red rock, blue skies, and sun glare in a way that totally inspired me. I am not absolutely enamored with hiking, but I am totally and completely in love with time to ponder and create.

Jewelry Organization

I love jewelry. Sparkly, colorful, chunky, glamorous– give it to me. I’ll most definitely wear it! My older sister, Kimber one time told her best friend, “Brooke has those ridiculous, over-the-top necklaces that you could never wear everyday, casually, but she DOES wear them everyday.” It was one of the best compliments I’ve ever gotten. With my short hair I am cursed to never be able to pull off dangly earrings, however chunky, short necklaces (which luckily have totally come back into style) — are totally my thing. Here’s the ways I organize and display my jewelry. Check out my tutorial on my earring holder and bracelet holder! I also crafted my necklace holder! My monogram candy dishes are from C. Wonder of course! I have “B” for Brooke and I stole my sister, Ashley’s “A” for the pictures!

Diamond Fork Hot Springs

For my biology class at BYU our assignment was to perform a science experiment testing the levels of bacteria in the hot springs. I am not a biology person, however I am a camera person, so here were my observations! Disclaimer: I promise the colors are not edited– the water from the hot spring is bright blue!

Alpine Loop

Alpine Loop is the beautiful scenic drive behind Sundance Ski Resort. Every fall it seems like all of Utah picks the same Sunday to drive the Alpine Loop. Ashley and I brought some of our good guy friends. I adjusted the camera settings and we jumped out for about ten minutes to capture these pictures. I love when boys are willing to smile, giggle, and ham it up for the camera. These boys are pro and the setting was lovely, so here are our results!
